A beautiful sunny weekend with moderate temperatures kept exhibitors, Newfs and spectators comfortable at our Annual Water Test, September 17 & 18 held at Prairie Springs Park, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Our judges were Cindi White and Bob Rogers who did their best to make entrants feel comfortable and confident. A full test with 25 exhibitors included 12 junior dogs, 11 senior dogs and 2 senior requalifiers. Saturday afternoon, after an open swim, optional basic control was held followed by a banquet which over 40
exhibitors and members attended. A great raffle and auction followed dinner. Half the proceeds of this years auction will be donated to a canine rescue group for New Orleans hurricane dogs. Sunday, entrants and stewards were organized and the test began. Our well organized secretary, competent stewards and skilled
judges kept the test moving. At the end of the day, a large group of happy qualifiers received their awards and trophies. This years trophies were hand painted and donated by Sharon Nummer, a special thank you is owed to her. Two juniors received them and a record five seniors received them. Of special significance, at this years test two senior dogs qualified for their VNs (Versatile Newfoundland titles).

The test committee wish to thank everyone who pitched in and helped make this a very successful event - from trophies, to banquet, to stewards, to raffle, to set up and tear down and everything in between with your help, this was another very successful event!
