The North Central Newfoundland Club

June 11, 2016
Half Day Forest Preserve
Vernon Hills, Illinois

Newfs and their people spent a summer day at Half Day Forest Preserve in Vernon Hills, Illinois. We were joined by prospective members who seemed peased to meet others who are not at all put off by the size of their dogs or their drool and fur.

There was a quorum for the General Membership Meeting. In addition to the usual club business, new board members were elected. More information will be presented to the membership when the minutes become available. Members and their dogs who completed titles during 2015 were congratulated. The handler and dog teams who earn these titles show skill and determination. We had a wonderful pot-luck lunch and raffle. Due to the heat of the day most of our time was spent relaxing in the shade with a little water for wading. Thanks to Al Williams for cooking, to Cissy Sullivan for taking photos and everyone who helped with set up, donating raffle prizes, buying tickets and cleaning up at the end of the day.
