"A Home for Every Newf"
Every Newfoundland deserves a caring home. Part of the responsibility of the North Central Newfoundland Club Inc, recognized by the Newfoundland Club of America and the American Kennel Club, is to aid in an appropriate manner any Newf in need.
NCNC Rescue is an all volunteer non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to improve the lives of Newfoundlands in need.
Our volunteers help owners who contact us regarding issues such as behavior, training, allergies or veterinary treatment. With the help of an experienced Newf owner often the situation can be resolved and the Newf remains with their loving family. When this option isn't possible we will accept the Newf into rescue. When the dog is in a humane shelter NCNC Rescue will evaluate the dog and provide assistance based on the shelter’s policies and preferences, including foster care, financial support for veterinary care, applicant referrals, etc.
Everyone interested in adopting a Newfoundland from us should complete the Adoption Application and the Placement Agreement. Part of the Placement Agreement requires that the Newfoundland be spayed or neutered and if for any reason the Newf becomes available again, the dog must be returned to us. When the Application and Placement Agreement are returned, your family is placed on our waiting list that usually consists of eight to ten families. It is not how long you are on our list, however, that determines when a Newf will be placed with you, but rather the right Newf for you and your family.

Foster homes are always needed. For more information on providing foster care, please contact Mary L Price at email@example.com.
Newfs available appear on our website, however often they are adopted before our website is updated. That is part of the reason it is so important to get on our waiting list. To see Newfs available currently available, click here.
